Accelerated Reading essentially covers
all of the material in our "Pre-K/K Basic Phonics" and "Advanced
Kindergarten" programs, but in an accelerated schedule that allows the
student to move more quickly through the material. Most students'
reading needs will best be met by completing these two programs as they
were originally written, as two separate programs used over two years.
Most students need the time and reinforcement this format offers.
However, Accelerated Reading may be a
better choice for some students precisely because it does move more
quickly with less review. It can be used successfully with a K Student
who demonstrates an eagerness to learn to read early, or who has begun
to learn, but not mastered, some of the phonetic sounds. It will also
help a 1st grade student who now shows readiness to move quickly through
the basic letter sounds and into early independent reading. Finally, it
will work well for new students switching from another program who need
extended review with vertical phonics to be fully prepared for our 1st
grade program.
The resources in this program allow
your student to experience all the fun activities we've written into our
early language arts, while still making a lot of forward progress that
will keep these learners motivated.
It may be difficult for you to know
whether or not this is the right choice for your student. If you'd like

#PPAD - $159 -- OR --
#PAD - $139 with any Language Arts Program Purchase
A resource so fun, kids won't realize they're learning to read! 128
learning games teach beginning to
advanced phonics that directly correlate to phonics introduced in all
our early language arts programs.
Just place a lesson card on the touch-sensitive surface, and Phonics Pad
"magically" recognizes the lesson
and immediately downloads its game play, speech, and sounds. In an
instant, lights begin flashing along
the sides and a voice explains what to do next. It is easy enough for
even young children to use. We have
