Start by Choosing Your Winter Promise Exclusives in Step 1, Then Add the Components You Wish to Build Your Package
Step 1 (REQUIRED): Choose Your WinterPromise Exclusives
This Bundle is the “Heart and Soul” of American Culture
You’ll need these resources to complete your theme. These resources are specially created for a rich educational experience by WinterPromise, and so they offer a lot of content presented in intriguing ways, including active learning opportunities. Most are used for many or all of the weeks of the year, and they focus on practical, you-can-do it, open & go family experiences!
You can compare below whether the Ebook, Mixed, or Print Bundle is right for your family. The Ebook and Mixed Bundles offer you additional ebook content.
Step 2 (REQUIRED): Decide on the Themed Essentials Books
This Book Bundle is Essential to American Culture
The resources in this bundle are used for many weeks and represent the essential content your student needs to work through this program. They are also books that would make outstanding additions to your family library, because they cover such universally-studied topics.
Step 3 (REQUIRED): Add Theme Completer Books
This Book Bundle Completes American Culture
Though used for a shorter period than the resources in the Essential Bundle, these books are student favorites because of their high-interest topics or the active learning opportunities they offer.
Step 4 (OPTIONAL): Decide on Theme Specific Add-ons
You May Need to Add These Resources to Your Theme:
If you did not complete American Crossing or All-American 1, you may not own these items, which are required to complete the state study that is completed this year. You can use these resources to complete the entire state study this year, if you like.
Step 5 (RECCOMENDED): Add Adventure Reading
This Bundle Offers Families Read-Together Fictional Books
Our Adventure Reading book sets are designed for families to read together, and spark discussions about important topics and values. They are a valuable time for families to use for connecting and passing along priorities and values to their kids in easy, teachable moments. Many sets include award winning titles that you’ll want as “friends” in your family library!
Step 6 (OPTIONAL): Add Notebooking Resources
These Items are Required if You Don’t Already Own Them:
Timelines in History – Each student you’re schooling needs their own copy.
Your Choice of Timeline Figures – You can choose from those below. Each are scheduled in your American Culture guide.
Step 7 (OPTIONAL): Add Geographic Resources for Mapping
These Resources Are Recommended for Completion of the American Geography in This Theme:
Atlas of World History – This atlas will help students complete the historical maps assigned in this theme, and the pages needed are referenced in the guide. Though use of this particular atlas is not required — you could certainly use any good historical atlas — if you don’t have a historical world atlas, this would be a fine choice. It is scheduled in each of our world history theme guides.
World Maps CD – Your student will need a limited number of world maps for this theme, and this collection offers beautiful heritage style maps. However, you won’t need many maps from this collection this year. However, if you are planning on working through WP’s world history themes in years to come, you will need this CD for Quest for the Ancient World, Quest for the Middle Ages, and Quest for Royals and Revolution, so it may be a worthwhile purchase now.
U.S. Maps CD – Your student will need U.S. maps for this later American history theme, and this collection offers beautiful heritage style maps.
