Return Policy
We want to do everything in our power to make sure you are satisfied with our print resources. With this in mind, we offer a four-week guarantee on any print purchase to acquaint yourself with the materials and try them with your family. If within that four weeks, you are not happy with your purchase, we ask that you contact us and see if we can help you with any difficulty. If you are still not satisfied, notify us by phone of your intention, then return the entire package via an insured carrier. We will give you a full refund on any of the materials returned in resalable condition within the guarantee time.
Some more information
- Your four-week period begins when your order arrives.
- All items must be returned in resalable condition. • We cannot refund any used materials but will refund any unused materials. We will not refund shipping charges.
- If you keep some of the materials, the discounts offered to you in the packages can’t be honored, and we will charge you individual prices for the items you choose to keep.
- Families may only take advantage of our guarantee two times. If two orders are returned for a full refund, further orders will be non-returnable. We feel that after seeing two programs, a family will know whether or not our products will work for their family.
- Many of our programs have samples of full weeks online so you can try the materials even before you order.
Conditions for Receiving a Full Refund Are as Follows:
To receive your refund, we would ask that you let us know how you feel we could improve our product and what we could do to make it fit your family. All materials must be returned in new, resalable condition, with the exception of themed program guides. Carefully pack your items for shipment. They must be mailed in a new appropriate container with proper packing materials, usually a sturdy box. Don’t use newspaper, as the ink bleeds onto the materials. Notebook paper crumpled up works well as packing material. Ship the books flat — spine facing spine — don’t turn them on their sides! Reusing a previously mailed box often results in damages. Be sure to include your name and address in the box, or your invoice, so we can take care of your credit.
Reasons we would not give a refund:
- We will not give a refund on any order mailed back after the trial period deadline. They must be mailed back or we must be made contact with, within the appropriate trial period. If you send materials back in the spring after ordering months before, and you are expecting to get a full refund, you will be disappointed. We cannot accept returns that are mailed back (even in great condition) months and months later. If you have any problems please be in contact with us right away. Upon full reception of your order you have four weeks to contact us and mail them back for a full refund. Please do not expect to get a refund mailing the items back beyond the four week trial period.
- We will not refund any materials that are damaged in the mailing process due to the failure to take special care in packing. Things do happen during the shipping process which we will work through, but if the books come back damaged and poorly packed we will not give a full refund.
- If there is no contact and no identifiable invoice, note or sales receipt and no records as to why you are returning you can expect either a delay or no refund. It is your responsibility to contact us once you have received your order if you have any issues or challenges with the curriculum.
Items Not Eligible for Return:
Occasionally, a customer requests that we special order an item for them. These items are not eligible for return by the customer. We also do not accept returns on items ordered in quantities larger than 5, unless the customer has more than five of their own children they are schooling in their home. In this case, we would accept returns on materials equal to the number of children the parent is currently teaching.
Notes on Ebook sets:
We cannot accept any returns on ebooks due to the nature of these digital copies of our resources. We are happy to accept returns of print books purchased as part of a set that also includes ebooks. Any discounts earned in purchasing the set will be reflected in your refund if you keep part of a set. You’ll find resource samples and more extensive “Experience” samples online that let you try before you buy. If you feel you need returnable status, we encourage you to purchase print copies only. IMPORTANT: If you lost files or have files damages or the system they were on was damaged we will replace those files as long as we can verify the order you placed or you can show proof of purchase.
Finally… If you have any questions about our return policy or would like to request a special exception due to special status, such as an overseas location or other circumstance, you are welcome to call and ask. We do try to work with our customers as much as possible to help them meet their family’s needs. Just let us know how we can help.
International Shipping Policy
International orders will be charged actual shipping costs plus insurance charges. PLEASE NOTE: Any orders placed online will be charged the domestic rate for shipping and will be contacted later for final shipping charges as we do not store payment information. These charges will need to be paid before we can ship out any of the materials you purchased. If an international customer cannot be contacted within 30 days by phone or email about payment for actual shipping charges this will result in the canceling and refunding of an order.
Order Processing Time
Here at WinterPromise, we do our best to get each and every order out as soon as possible. Due to the paper and supply shortages, our shipping times have increased. Please allow 3-4 weeks for your order to be processed prior to shipment. This ensures us to have the highest quality for your orders.
For larger purchases or resources, there may be varying processing times. If there is a specific date you would like your adventure, please feel free to contact us. We will always try to ensure every WinterPromise Family has what they need for their adventure.
Damaged or Missing Items
Missing Items: If upon receiving your items you find that you are missing any items please contact us and we will make sure that you have all the pieces to your adventure that you purchased! Please be sure to contact us within two weeks of receiving your items to ensure that your items are sent to you.
Damaged Items: If upon receiving your items you find that any of your resources are damaged or there are any misprints please contact us and let us know so that we can resend you any damaged items. Dependent on the item damaged we may require that you send back the damaged good, via a prepaid shipping label.
Non-WinterPromise Publishing Resources
Please be aware that WinterPromise Publishing sells materials made available to us by outside publishing companies, and therefore does not always have control over the publishing of books and resources by these companies. If a title in your purchase is unable to be purchased new(a recent out-of-print book via our vendors, or a discontinued book), we will notify you of the resource and solution options. Some solution options may be a used resource with a refund of the difference between the used and new copy, or a refund for the amount you paid for that resource. We will always do our best to provide WinterPromise families with options and the knowledge of where to find these items for their own purchase.
Payment Methods
We accept credit/debit. We do not store any credit or debit information in our systems for the privacy of our customers. These payments can be made either through our website or over the phone. We discourage the disclosure of payment information through email but will work with each and every one of our customers to ensure easy transactions can be made. PayPal We can accept payments via PayPal for many purchases. This can be done through our website or the information to send a payment can be given over the phone or email. NOTE: If you cannot pay via Credit/Debit or PayPal please contact us and we will do our best to find a payment method that works for you. School/PO Payments If you are a school, or have placed an order with us via a PO payment needs to be paid as soon as possible once the invoice is submitted. Payment can be made via Direct Deposit, Check, Credit/Debit, or PayPal. NOTE: We must charge a $25 returned check charge for any check that is returned unpaid.
Ebook Delivery
Some of our eBooks are delivered right after your purchase as a direct download from our website while others need to be manually sent through a platform called Hightail. (Some of our bigger resources are too big to be sent directly through our website which is why we need to utilize another platform as well.) If you don’t receive all of your eBooks directly after your purchase your eBooks will be sent to you by the end of the next business day. Once they are sent you will also receive a note on your order letting you know when they were sent, and when your access to download those files expires. If you need a password to access any of the files you received one will be provided to you in the email containing the downloads for those eBooks.
General Ebook Policies
How long can I use my Ebooks? Once you purchase your Ebooks they are yours to keep and use in your immediate family for however long you would like to. Exceptions to this would be you cannot pass them down to be used with your grandkids or send them to friends to use even if you aren’t using them that year. They are only meant for your immediate family.
What can I do if I lost my Ebooks? If you lost your Ebooks, had a technical issue, or lost the hardware your files were stored on there are a couple things you can do. 1. You can log into your WinterPromise account and navigate to your downloads section and redownload those files if you have any remaining allowed downloads (most Ebook orders will allow for 2 to 3 downloads of each file before not allowing anymore) 2. If you didn’t make an account with us or have run out of downloads you can send us an email including the name placed on the order, email, order number, and the resources you lost and are trying to gain access to again. We will do our best to send you the exact version of all the files you received if we still have access to them. ***To protect our files from being shared between families and to prevent the wrongful reselling of our Ebook resources we only allow up to 3 manual resends of any Ebook resources. Once you have contacted us 3 times requesting files be resent we will not send anymore files.
If I purchased Ebooks but the program has now updated can I get the updated versions for free? No. If you purchase an Ebook resource and that program receives an update, you may not receive the updated version of the files you purchased no matter the duration between your purchase and the update. Many of our programs contain website links or other aspects that may change due to the removal or relocating of certain web links. If a resource receives an update only to the links or other items of that nature you may request that we send you the updated version of that resource. Approval is up to our discretion based on what the change included. We suggest keeping all your files saved on an external hardware (thumb drive, external hard drive, etc.) in addition to keeping them on the device you will use them on. While we can resend them under certain circumstances our programs may be updated and we may not have access to the version you purchased. We CANNOT send any files that do not match the version you purchased no matter how long ago, or how recent your purchase was.
Shipping
All our orders are shipped via 2-3-day priority mail (unless your order is an international order or you have a very large order and we have spoken with you directly about lowering your shipping cost by shipping via media mail). Tracking for your order will be emailed to the email you provided in your order as soon as the label is made. Shipping & Packaging Costs (Print books and physical resources are all subject to shipping and packaging costs.)
CONTIGUOUS U.S.
- Orders of $0.01-100 will be charged a flat $15.
- Orders of $100.01-300 will be charged a flat $28.
- Orders of $200-299 will be charged a flat $24.
- Order of $300.01-500 will be charged a flat $36.
- Order of $500+ will be charged a flat $48.

Address Changes/Missing Packages
Please contact us ASAP about any address changes during your order process. While placing your order if you know that you will be moving or may need your package sent to a different address depending on when it is sent please let us know in the notes section of your order. After the label is created and your item has been received by the post office it is very difficult for us to change its destination, please make sure to contact us as soon as you know that your address has changed. If you have not received your package and have checked the tracking of this package please reach out to us and we will help you track down your package! Some packages may be too large for your mailbox and may be taken back to the post office for you to go pick up there. If this is the case you should get a notice but can also see that in the package tracking
Returned to Sender Packages
If your package is sent out and is not able to be delivered you may be subject to extra shipping charges in order for us to reship the materials to you. All returned international shipped packages will require that you pay shipping again. If your package is returned we will reach out to you providing as much information as we can as well as inform you of any shipping charges that need to be paid in order for us to ship out your materials again. If a package is returned to the sender two times we will require a different ship to address. If you are unable to provide a different shipping address the order will be canceled and a refund for the materials will be issued to your form of payment. No shipping charges will be refunded.
Missing Items
If your package is missing materials and your order has been completed please reach out to us as soon as possible. If you do not reach out to us within 4 weeks of the delivery of your order we cannot guarantee that we will be able to send you the resources you are missing. Once you have passed the 4 week time period it becomes more possible that you misplaced the book or lost it. We will not ship out any missing materials 12 weeks after your order was completed as we see 12 weeks as enough time to receive your package as well as go through the contents of your order making sure you have everything you need for this school year, and contact us to let us know that you are missing a resource.
Adventure Sets
Our Adventure Sets do not include Non-WinterPromise Items. These can be purchased separately in most cases and in some need to be purchased elsewhere.
