“The World Around Me” is an excellent starting point science.  The resources this guide coordinates allow students to explore many different scientific topics and the scientific method.  Students will be introduced to plants, animals, water, weather, air and sky, the earth, sound and light, magnets and electricity, physical forces, transportation and inventions, and outer space.

The resources provide content as well as ways to learn by observation and simple experiments.  Our science programs are designed to complement the comprehensive nature of our themed programs.  This one can be completed in 2 to 4 hours per week.  Many parents choose to do science on their “fifth” day that WinterPromise does not schedule themed program assignments.
